Tamil Nadu Government Highlights 4-Year Achievements
The Tamil Nadu government announced major achievements over the past four years:
Industrial Growth:
897 investment deals worth ?10.27 lakh crore were signed.
These are expected to create over 32.23 lakh jobs.
Tamil Nadu now leads the country in industrial growth.
Economic Growth:
The state’s economy grew by 9.69%.
Exports rose from $26.16 billion in 2020-21 to $52.07 billion in 2024-25.
Electronics Exports:
Tamil Nadu exported $14.65 billion worth of electronic goods, topping states like Maharashtra and Karnataka.
Employment:
Workforce increased from 2.9 crore in 2020-21 to 3.87 crore in 2024-25.
Welfare Programmes:
Initiatives like Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam, Illam Thedi Kalvi, Naan Mudhalvan, and Kalaignar Kanavu Illam have supported development.
Higher education enrolment reached 51.3%, against the national average of 26%.
Law and Order:
No major caste clashes or industrial disputes in four years.
No polic custody deaths since August 2022.
Crime rate against women in Tamil Nadu is 24 per lakh, compared to the national average of 66.4.
Skill Development:
Chennai leads Indian cities in skill development, with 94,121 skill centres and 24.5% growth, ahead of Mumbai, Bengaluru, and other
