India's exports are shifting toward high-value products such as electronics, engineering goods, and pharmaceuticals. As these exports grow, demand for faster and more reliable air cargo services is increasing.
Today, nearly 80% of India's air cargo is transported in the cargo hold of passenger aircraft. While this works for regular shipments, it is not ideal for oversized, high-value, or time-sensitive goods.
Afcom is focusing on dedicated cargo aircraft instead of relying on passenger flights. As India's exports become more diverse and time-sensitive, the company expects more freight to move through dedicated freighters.
Unlike commercial airlines that treat cargo as an additional business, Afcom's aircraft are designed only for freight. This allows the company to schedule flights based on cargo demand, offer charter services, and respond quickly during supply chain disruptions.
Dedicated freighters can also carry shipments that passenger aircraft cannot handle.
Afcom currently operates cargo services across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. In FY26, it expanded into Dubai and strengthened its Australia-Pacific network through its partnership with Nauru Air Corporation.
