India's plastics exports grew by 8% in FY 2024–25, reaching $12.5 billion, up from $11.5 billion the previous year, according to the Plastics Export Promotion Council (PLEXCONCIL).
Top-performing categories:

Key export markets include the US, China, UAE, and Brazil.
PLEXCONCIL Chairman Vikram Bhadauria credited the growth to innovation and global demand. The industry is now eyeing new opportunities in Africa, Latin America, and CIS countries, while pushing for trade agreements with the US, UK, and EU to boost future exports. Executive Director Sribash Dasmohapatra said the council is confident of achieving 12% growth in 2025–26.
