First batch of salt imported from India to arrive soon
The Sri Lanka State Trading Corporation (STC) announced that the first batch of salt imported from India is set to arrive in Sri Lanka.
Chairman Ravindra Fernando stated that the initial shipment will consist of 4,050 metric tons of salt.
This follows a recent Cabinet decision to approve the import of 30,000 metric tons of salt to address the ongoing shortage in the country. The importation of salt from India has been authorized.
